PARENTING & GROUP COUNSELING
As a parent we are facing different challenges everyday in which we struggle and feel pressured to constantly have it together. I say “we” because I’m a mother of two and understand your struggles of not feeling enough, especially during a time when we are required to be parents, teachers, doctors, nurses etc. all at once. So if you take anything from landing here I want to tell you that: You are enough! Parenting is rewarding but it can be demanding and isolating. As a clinician and parent my main goal is for you not to feel alone and to find the support you need.

Like a lot of you I battle with the challenges of parenting in which I was desperate to understand and help with my children's struggles. You might have heard before that “children don’t come with instruction manuals”. Although this is true, we can explore another perspective in which children are the instruction manual in which they are trying their best to tell us what they need. By participating in the Circle of Security Parenting Group, we start trying new ways of being in the relationship with our children as we find our own way to meet our children’s needs.

Circle of Security Parenting:
It’s not a parent education class.
It’s a reflect and bear the effect model.
It’s not an approach that tells people how to raise their children.
It’s an attachment based parent experience to engage parent’s wisdom and reflection.
It’s not a behavioral modification approach.
It’s a behavioral translation approach.
We can engage in this journey in a one-on-one experience, in couples or group settings.
